Family BBQ

The next day (after the kenduri), me and my family went to Maksu’s house at Seksyen 7, Shah Alam. Maksu nk buat BBQ, specially for us. Sampai2, semuanya dh ready. Ayam dh marinate, tinggal nk bakar jer. Apa lagi, startlah idupkan api. Sambil bakar, sambil makan…sambil bakar, sambil makan... Fuh, kembong perut meratah ayam, ikan, sotong. Kenyang alhamdulillah. Thanks Maksu for a nice BBQ dinner and for sponsoring dadih yesterday. (Dadih yg Maksu buat mmg best, bukan bebudak jer suka, bapak2 dan mak budak pun sukakkkkkkk..They really lovin’ it!!!. Lepas ni nk menuntut buat dadih dgn Maksu).

Pudin (anak mak sedara aku, Kak Chik), mmg suka mengusik husband aku. Di cucuknya, digeleteklah, diwrestlingnya..macam member dia jer..Arituh, Pudin dan KakNgahnya ikut aku ke Komuter Bt 3. Punyalah x dok diam dlm keta. Di cucuk2nya abang Hanif dia.. Apa lagi, Kak Yongnye (akulah tuh) marahlah..Bila dh kena marah, barulah aman dunia.. Merajuklah tu..merajuk bebudak, biasalah, kejap jer dh ok.  Kak Yongnya pandai pujuk

Yesterday, one of my students gave me this gift. Guest what? It is coffee powder. He said it is the best coffee in his country. Actually this semester is the first time I have foreigner students (5 of them, from Somalia, Algeria, Yemen and Sudan). Definitely it is one of the most challenging semester for me since i've been as a Lecturer in UNISEL for almost 5 yrs. Tapi mmg pening kepala nk handle bebudak nih, kena banyak2 bersabar (mungkin kalo pandai cakap Arab mudahlah sket )But this is my responsible, to Allah, to UNISEL, even to their family, so I've to give my best!.Dan bila terima pemberian (walaupun tak pernah mengharapkannya) especially from your student, sedikit sebanyak tentunya kita akan merasa bangga. . Terasa sgt dihargai.  For me, as a lecturer, it is one of my job satisfaction!!! ..
Teringat pesanan supervisor master dulu, students might forget what we taught, but they wont forget the way we taught them' ,..so tulah yg aku pegang sampai sekarang.
Nway, to Amr Mohammed thanks for the gift...really appreciate it! Lps ni sesape yg nak rasa kopi Yemen, jemputlah ke rumah

Today is our 5th anniversary..Cepat sungguh masa berlalu. Walaupun belum rezeki kami utk menimang cahaya mata, rumahtangga kami tetap bahagia…Alhamdulillah dikurniakan seorang suami yg amat memahami dan mengasihi diri ini. Dialah penglipurlara, dialah pengubat duka, susah senang, suka duka kami hadapi bersama.
Abang….
Tiada hadiah yang lebih bermakna, selain dari kehadiran dan kasih sayang yang abang curahkan. Semoga rumahtangga yang kita bina diberkati olehNya, berkekalan dunia, akhirat, dan semoga di suatu kesempatan Allah izinkan diri ini menjadi mama kepada anak2 abang… Amin….

Yang sambut menantunya is Ayah We (abg sulung abah), so majlis buat kat umah diorang kat Gombak..Actually dh lama jugak x de majlis kawin2 dlm family abah..yg last pun kenduri umah Mak Yah kat Rawang (about a year before). Biasalah time2 kenduri nilah kitorang berkumpul reramai, punyalah kecoh, riuh dgn sepupu2, mak sedara, pak sedara yg havoc...Sedih gak mak abah x de time ni  , so kitorang adik beradiklah jadik wakil.

Kuching... here we come

We went to Kuching last 3 weeks for 4D3N (21 Jan – 24 Jan 2007). Actually nothing much to do in Kuching, just visited the Cultural Village at Santubong (oklah, eventhro RM 60/person), crocodile farm, Matang Wildlife Centre, a few museums in Kuching, and most important activities SHOPPING…SHOPPING (pompuan ). We were lucky coz the main bazaar is just beside our hotel. U can find all kinds of souvenir from Sarawak here: kain pua, pottery, tikar Sarawak (bamboo, wood @ rattan), rattan mats, Sarawak pepper, ‘tabaloi’ (the most popular ‘jajan’, made of sagoo) and kek lapis Sarawak (very colourful!). And not to forget, the unique, all-time favourite souvenir which is ikan terubuk masin (salted terubuk fish). I managed to buy a few kilos (@ Satok Market), just for my relatives and officemates. Although we were so tired, we really had great times there.
p/s : If u come to Sarawak, don’t forget to try the umai, laksa Sarawak and mee kolok….u gonna love it!

Alhamdulillah, mak abah selamat sampai dr menunaikan rukun islam ke lima pada 10/1/07. Flight landed at KLIA around 12.25 am, and they took almost an hour to get their luggage. aduhhh.. letih menunggu  . Nway, alhamdulillah diorang sihat, setakat batuk tu, standard la..Once everythings settled, kitorang terus balik umah, sampai umah dlm pukul 3 am..

Nilah gheta pertama yang aku beli, dpt jer scholarship, terus angkat keta. . Senang sket nk bergerak ke fakulti, ke PSZ, aku berulang dr UTM ke Masai (research site masa buat master) pun bawak keta ni, even dgn keta nilah aku dan kwn2 SO3 g beronggeng..Banyak betul kenangan, (tak lupa kenangan masa2 dating dgn husbnad dulu)....agak2 kat manalah 'dia' skrg???

BMB? what's that? Actually BMB stand for 'Budak MRSM Berlagak', specially created for 1st batch of forecast UTM. (27 Dis 1995 - 1999). Yang betul2 survived, complete first degree kat UTM dlm +/- 37 org shj (drpd asalnya dlm 70 org). Well, macammana dpt nama tuh, biarlah menjadi rahsia kitorang sendiri. N'way I'm very proud to be one of the BMBs....
